The Life in a Day YouTube page has been converted over into an interactive gallery, highlighting some of the 80,000 video submissions they received. You can organize the videos as a 3D globe or matrix, slicing through them based on location, time of day, mood, style, etc.
It’s unclear whether the videos they’re highlighting have made into the top 100 hours, are ones that didn’t make the cut, or both. From going through a few, my sense is they’re videos that didn’t make the cut – many are edited sequences instead of rushes as had been requested, and some have commercial music set to them which was discouraged. And no, I didn’t come across any of the videos I submitted. Either way, it’s worth a visit for the interactive gallery alone…
