I just discovered the blog for “This Killing Business”, a feature film shooting in Boston by my CDIA teacher, friend, and filmmaker guru, Federico Muchnik. Federico’s production house, MV Productions, has been working on it over the last few months, going through the process of raising funds, shooting incrementally, generating a little PR (repeat cycle). What I liked about the blog were the little descriptions they’ve been posting detailing a particular shot they just filmed. It’s an insightful look behind the scenes on how they’re pulling off some beautiful shots.
The premise for “This Killing Business” involves an office worker who murders his way into management, but gets into trouble with his girlfriend and a corrupt detective. It’s a “noir” inspired crime tale told in a dark, satirical manner. Check out the trailer and head over to their Facebook page for more info!
